Enjoy the scenic journey, cutting through miles of oil palm and rubber plantations and traditional Malay villages. Upon reaching the town of Taiping, visit Perak Museum – the oldest museum in the country.

Next take a stroll at the Taiping Lake Garden; opened in 1880 it was the first public garden in then Malaya. The park lake has ten scenic lakes and ponds, lush tropical plants, flowers, trees and wildlife. There’s also a roller-skating rink, paddle boat rides, and a playground for children.

You can stop for lunch in a local restaurant before visiting the only water park in the country with a chairlift ride – the famous Bukit Merah Laketown Waterpark. Offering many famous attractions, you’ll be sure to enjoy the 11-acre Giant Wet Bubble and Boomerang fun-slide, Water Flume Rides and Body Speed Slides.
