Start Here – How it works.

Welcome to our 3 step process.

Step 1:

Choose the experience that suits you best. Would you prefer the expert knowledge of our accredited tour guides or a tour host? Perhaps renting a car is more your preference or how about a customised tour? Simply choose the option that suits you!

Step 2:

Visit our tour pages and select the tour that suits you best. We offer 4 hour tours all the way up to 2 day tours.

Step 3: 

Fill in the form on the contact page and answer your questions or simply book your tour!

1. Tour Guide – Expert Knowledge

Accredited Tour Guides

Would you like to know more about Penang’s rich history and all the significant dates and details about its famous landmarks? If so, a tour guide is the perfect choice for you as all guides accompany you on your trip making it a very personalised and private service.

In Malaysia tour guides are tested and must be accredited via Malaysian Association of Tourism & Travel (MATTA) before they can become accredited tour guides, which is why Ocean Jupiter offer officially accredited tour guides for all tours.

2. Tour Host – General Knowledge

Experience Penang with one of our Tour Hosts.

Ocean Jupiter Tour Hosts are distinctly different to Guides who are accredited by MATTA.  Tour Hosts however also have local knowledge which they openly share but their knowledge is not as detailed or extensive.  Tour Hosts are also different to Guides as they do not accompany you into tourist venues, instead they wait for you outside until you are ready to go to the next destination.

In Malaysia, before someone can be called a Tour Guide, a person must study Malaysian history and its famous landmarks, undergo intensive testing, successfully pass and then be accredited by MATTA –  Malaysian Association of Tourism & Travel.

Part of a Tour Guides‘ role is to accompany you during the whole tour  providing a very personalised and private service that adds depth and appreciation to your experience of Penang.

Ocean Jupiter offer official accredited Tour Guides for all tours.
